At UN: Pakistan calls for int’l legal framework in cyberspace

Pakistan has emphasized the importance of equitable international cooperation to ensure a safe and secure Information and communication technologies’ environment for all.

This was said by Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations Ambassador Munir Akram during the Global Roundtable on ICT Security Capacity Building.

Addressing the evolving landscape of cyber threats, Ambassador Akram raised concerns over the frequency of cyber-attacks on critical infrastructure and the spread of disinformation.

He said another aspect of cyber threat is disinformation as Pakistan has been particularly long standing victim of such disinformation.

He stressed the need for international collaboration to combat these challenges effectively.
