Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Local Government Enforces Strict Compliance and Transparency Among TMOs

Peshawar, The Local Government Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Arshad Ayub Khan, alongside Municipal Secretary Dawood Khan, recently chaired a pivotal meeting with all Tehsil Municipal Officers (TMOs) in the region. The meeting emphasized the importance of lawful operations, transparency, and resistance to undue pressures in municipal administration.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Minister Khan stressed the critical need for accountability, particularly concerning the usage of petrol in cleaning vehicles, warning against its misuse. He announced forthcoming digitization efforts aimed at enhancing financial transparency within Tehsil Municipal Entities (TMEs). The minister assured support for those adhering to legal frameworks and encouraged TMOs to report any illicit pressures, promising protection and potential empowerment based on performance.
