Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Official Advocates for Self-Reliance in Technical Training Centers

Peshawar, Abdul Karim Tordhir, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Technical Education and Industry, recently visited the Government Technical and Vocational Center in Swabi Gadun to assess the training programs and facilities.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, during his visit, Tordhir was briefed about the variety of technical skills training provided at the center, including courses in plumbing, electricity, computer software, automobile mechanics, and other arts trades. He emphasized the importance of not only providing practical training to students but also ensuring that these institutions can sustain themselves financially. To this end, he directed the management of the college to develop and implement business models that would enable the center to generate its own income and become a hub for high-quality vocational training.

Tordhir’s directives reflect a broader strategy to enhance the functionality and economic viability of vocational training facilities throughout the region, ensuring they can operate as commercially productive entities while continuing to equip students with essential skills.
