KP Governor stresses joint efforts to steer universities out of financial difficulties

Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali has said the rising costs, salaries and pension liabilities created financial difficulties for universities.

Addressing a news conference in Peshawar today, regarding financial status of higher education institutes of the province, he said joint efforts will have to be made to get universities out of any difficulties in the coming time.

The Governor said almost all the public sector universities put less focus on commercializing the research sector that is the reason the budget does not see any research revenue.
