KP Govt prepares plan to prevent spread of dengue virus in province

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has prepared an action plan to prevent the spread of dengue virus in the province due its high risk in view of the recent rains.

According to Director Public Health Dr. Irshad Roghani, a multi-sectoral approach will be adopted to control dengue spread in the province under the plan.

More than twelve-hundred beds in government hospitals will be allocated for dengue patients across the province including three-hundred beds in the hospitals of Peshawar.

Under the plan, a Dengue Control Room will also be established at Directorate General Health Services.
