Landhi slaughter house offer sale point to dairy farmers

Karachi, November 13, 2014 (PPI-OT): The Veterinary Services Department of KMC has been permitted to charge Rs40 as tax/fee for every entry of animals for sale by dairy farmers at the sale point established in the KMC Old beef Slaughter House in Landhi. The step has been taken on the complaints of traffic jam on roads around the slaughter house due to sale of animals and in view of the security of the cattle owners.

The old beef slaughter house in Landhi had sufficient space and boundary wall for setting up of animal sale point there. The recommendation in this connection was sent to the Administrator Karachi for obtaining the approval on which the competent authority, exercising the powers of council conferred upon him through Sindh Government Notification gave approval of the said recommendation.
