Maulana Jarjees says he refused to be part of India’s vicious plan

New Delhi, April 23, 2020 (PPI-OT): It is revealed in a statement of a prominent Indian Muslim scholar, Maulana Jarjees Ansari, that how the Indian Home Minister, Amit Shah, tried to use him to mislead the whole Muslim community of India about the prevailing situation in occupied Kashmir but he refused to be part of his wicked plan. In a video making rounds on social media Maulana Jarjees Ansari while addressing a public gathering said that the Indian Home Minister had summoned him and two other clerics.

Maulana Jarjees Ansari said that the Indian minister requested him to pay a visit to Kashmir, examine the situation and inform the people of India as they would accept his narrative. Amit Shah said if you (Maulana Jarjees) will tell the people of India that situation in Kashmir was normal, people will accept it, he said. He added that the minister said that Indian Army would escort them the areas they would visit in the territory. He said that Amit Shah had explained them that the aim of the proposed visit was to counter Pakistan and the media which were highlighting that the situation was not good and curfew was imposed in Kashmir.

Maulana said that initially he agreed but then refused and told Amit Shah that he could not do so as it would be risky for him. “I told him that the army will take me to the areas of their choice and will not allow me to go wherever I would want. And after coming back to India following the (guided) tour if I will say that all is well in Kashmir, there is no curfew and the people are happy. The Muslims of India will say that Mualana is speaking Modi’s words and acting as his stooge.

And if I say that the situation in Kashmir is very bad and people are facing problems then you (Indian government) will not spare us and implicate us in (false) cases,” Maulana Jarjees said of having told the Indian home minister. He said that by saying this he refused to visit Kashmir and asked Amit Shah to take someone else for the purpose.
