Mayor Murtaza Wahab to Honor Quaid-e-Azam with Wreath-Laying Ceremony in Karachi

Karachi: Mayor Karachi, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, will lead a wreath-laying ceremony at Quaid-e-Azam’s Mausoleum on behalf of the city’s residents. The ceremony, set for the morning of August 14, will include Deputy Mayor Salman Abdullah Murad, Municipal Commissioner S.M. Afzal Zaidi, and other senior officials from Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC). The event marks the beginning of several Independence Day celebrations organized by the city.

According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, the Mayor will also hoist the national flag at the KMC head office during a flag-raising ceremony attended by KMC officers and staff. In preparation for Independence Day, Mayor Wahab has directed the KMC building to be adorned with lights and national flags. Furthermore, he will inaugurate a modern-style Funland at the Karachi Zoo, where he will also hoist the national flag in a ceremony attended by students from various schools.
