Meeting to review the law and order situation in Sindh held

Karachi: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah today held a meeting at Chief Minister House to review the law and order situation in the province of Sindh particularly in Karachi.

He said that it is responsibility of law enforcing agencies to be fully devoted to maintain the peace is disturbed areas, and proper vigilance, monitoring and prompt action be initiated against criminals and terrorists. Syed Qaim Ali Shah also directed the police officials to enhance patrolling of police in various disturbed localities, while police force be deployed till late night at commercial centres, trade and business markets and Eid Bazars throughout Sindh province so as to provide proper security to people particularly the ladies and children.

Chief Minister Sindh further directed the police department to accelerate the process of inducting the personnel in police force so as to maintain comprehensive peace in the province. He said that the induction and appointment in police be totally on merit with transparent process.

Syed Qaim Ali Shah also directed to post some senior police officer as DPO at Tando Muhammad Khan. He further informed that police force is being provided latest and sophisticated arms and ammunition together with vehicles. He was fully confident that officers and personnel of police department will discharge their duties efficiently and effectively to achieve further and better result ensuring security to lives and properties of common man.

Sindh Home Minister and I.G Police gave details of current law and order situation and assured that in the light of effective and curative measures, the law and order will fully be maintained in province particularly in Karachi. They also presented latest report to Chief Minister. The meeting was attended by Sindh Home Minister Mr. Manzoor Hussain Wasan, I.G Police Sindh Mr. Wajid Ali Durrani, Special Secretary to C.M Mr. Hafeezullah Abbasi and other police officers.
