Karachi, March 30, 2016 (PPI-OT): The 20th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Meezan Bank Limited was held today at its Head Office – Meezan House, Karachi. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Mohammad Abdul Aleem, Director and Chairman, Audit Committee – Meezan Bank and attended by Mr. Irfan Siddiqui – President and CEO – Meezan Bank, Mr. Ariful Islam, Deputy CEO – Meezan Bank, Mr. Azfar Qarni, Representing Islamic Development Bank, Jeddah, Mr. Shabbir Hamza Khandwala, CFO – Meezan Bank and Mr. Tasnimul Haq Farooqui, Company Secretary – Meezan Bank as well as the Bank’s shareholders.
The proceedings of the meeting included adoption of the Annual Audited Accounts for the year ended December 31, 2015 and approval of 12.5% Final Cash Dividend in addition to 17.5% interim cash dividend that was paid by the Bank, bringing the total payout to Rs. 3 for the year. The shareholders acknowledged the impressive performance of the Bank.
