Meezan Bank Limited’s notice of board meeting and closed period

Karachi, July 10, 2013 (PPI-OT): We wish to inform you that a meeting of the Board of Directors of Meezan Bank Limited (MEBL) will be held in Karachi, Pakistan on Monday, July 29, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. to consider and approve the reviewed accounts of the Bank for the quarter and half year ended June 30, 2013.

We wish to inform you that pursuant to clause xxvi of the Code of Corporate Governance, the period starting from July 20, 2013 to July 29, 2013 (both days inclusive) has been declared by the Bank to be a ‘closed period’ during which Directors, CEO or Executives of the Bank or their spouses are not allowed to trade in shares of the Bank in any manner, whether directly or indirectly.
