Millions in Pakistan Commence Itikaaf for Ramadan’s Final Days

Islamabad, In a significant religious observance, tens of thousands of Muslims across Pakistan began Itikaaf, the period of seclusion, following the Asr prayer today. This practice, deeply rooted in Islamic tradition, is undertaken during the last ten days of Ramadan, focusing on intensive prayer and spiritual reflection.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the participants, including at least 300 in Faisal Masjid, Islamabad, and hundreds in notable mosques of Lahore such as Data Sahib Mosque, Badshahi Mosque, and Minhajul Quran Mosque, engage in this annual religious seclusion. Men take to mosques for Itikaaf, while women partake within their homes, dedicating these days to seeking the blessings of Almighty Allah and emulating the practices of Prophet Muhammad (Sallalaho Alyhe Wasallum).
