Islamabad, December 25, 2012 (PPI-OT): Minister of state for National Harmony, Akram Masih Gill has felicitated Christian community on the eve of Christmas with the message of following the teachings of Jesus Christ to promote love, peace, harmony and brotherhood among all.
In a message the Minister said the occasion of Christmas is blessed and on this day we should renew our pledge to make strong interfaith relationship among the people of different faiths to promote peace, tolerance and inter faith harmony.
“I felicitate all Christian brothers on the occasion of Christmas which teaches us to revere the humanity to seek blessing of Jesus Christ (May Allah be pleased with him) whose birth shines our lives dispelling darkness and hatred”.
He said Christmas brings people of different communities together to celebrate the birth of Jesus and set the example of interfaith harmony.
The festival highlights the sacrifices, teachings and Character of Jesus Christ, which guided the humanity and served the down trodden and unprivileged people. He said on this occasion, we should pray for peace, love, tolerance and unity and continue our struggles for the welfare and economic prosperity of the country.
