Minister for Ports and Shipping presides Karachi Port Trust’s meeting

Karachi, June 22, 2016 (PPI-OT):A high level workshop cum meeting on KPT Act has taken place today in KPT Head Office Building which was chaired by the Federal Minister for Ports and Shipping Senator Hasil Khan Bizenjo and was attended by Federal Secretary Ports and Shipping Mr Khalid Pervaiz, DG Ports and Shipping Mr Asad Rafi Chaandna, Chairman KPT (R) Vice Admiral Shafqat Jawed besides other stakeholders and port users.

During the workshop/meeting the Minister was also briefed about the port infrastructure and operations. Various ongoing mega development projects like Deep Water Container Port, Reconstruction of Berths, Cable Stay Bridge and Cargo Village came under discussion during the meeting. The Minister Senator Hasil Bizenjo was apprised about the latest position status of the ongoing mega projects of KPT.

Senator Bizenjo showed keen interest in the ongoing port development projects and conveyed full support of his ministry towards realization of all mega development projects of KPT. Later, the Chairman KPT (R) Vice Admiral Shafqat Jawed presented KPT Souvenir to the Minister for Ports and Shipping Senator Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo which concluded the proceedings at KPT Head Office.
