Ministry of Human Rights Celebrates Transgender Individuals’ Achievement in Vocational Training

Islamabad: In a significant step towards inclusive empowerment, the Ministry of Human Rights’ Transgender Protection Centre hosted a Certificate Distribution Ceremony for transgender individuals who successfully completed a Stitching/Tailoring Course. The event marked a pivotal achievement in the government’s ongoing efforts to facilitate dignified employment opportunities for transgender citizens.

According to Ministry of Human Rights, Federal Secretary for Human Rights, Allah Dino Khwoja, praised the course participants for their dedication and success. Of the 20 enrollees, 15 have now been officially recognized through the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission’s Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) facility. The ceremony was not just a formality but a celebration of the tangible skills acquired by participants, aimed at enhancing their job prospects and societal integration.

Deputy Director and Trans Rights Expert Ms. Reem Sharif encouraged the graduates to continue engaging with the Centre for further support and to address any welfare concerns they might encounter. The event concluded with the joyous presentation of certificates, symbolizing a new beginning for each recipient.
