Minor booked on fake charges of murder in IOK

Srinagar, December 01, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police have booked a minor boy on the fake charges of his involvement in a stone-pelting incident that resulted in the killing of a policeman in October.

Head Constable, Kanwal Nain Singh, was killed after his bus turned turtle after coming under attack by stone-pelters in Palhallan area of Baramulla district, on October 16, the day of Eid-ul-Azha.

Bilal Ahmed Dar, 14, has been sent to a juvenile home. Dar was earlier granted bail by the court, but the police rearrested him and booked him again.

Dar’s father, Abdul Jabbar said that his son was innocent and has been framed. “When the police constable lost his life during stone-pelting incident, Bilal was present at my hosiery shop,” he said.

“We were shocked when Bilal was arrested by police. He is innocent and police should thoroughly probe the matter,” he added.
