Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Mourns the Loss of Iranian President Raisi

Srinagar, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, a senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), has publicly mourned the death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and other officials following a helicopter crash.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Mirwaiz, under house arrest since early May, sent a heartfelt condolence message emphasizing the profound impact of President Raisi’s death on the Muslim community globally, particularly in Iran. He extended his sympathies to the Iranian government and its people, reflecting a shared sense of loss across occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Mirwaiz’s message included prayers for the deceased, seeking divine forgiveness for them and resilience for the grieving nation.
