MoS for Finance emphasizes need to continue economic boom

Minister of State for Finance and Revenue Ali Pervaiz Malik has emphasized the need to continue the economic boom and bust cycle of poverty in Pakistan to ensure inclusive and sustainable growth in the country.

Addressing the closing ceremony of a two-day workshop on ‘Parliamentary Proceedings and Budget Process’ in Islamabad today, he said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his team successfully averted the looming financial default, and now the economy is getting stabilized.

He said food inflation, current account deficit, and pressure on the Pakistani rupee have been substantially reduced due to prudent economic policies of the government.
