Srinagar, June 17, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, mujahideen while issuing a threat, first time, in public have asked local policemen and soldiers to desist from vandalising houses and harassing their family members or be ready to face the consequences.
The threat came at the funeral of the 15-year-old boy, Waqas Ahmad, who was martyred in firing by the Indian troops at Noupora in Pulwama district on Saturday. Soon after Eid prayers, villagers had gathered for the funeral in the morning when some armed mujahideen appeared and addressed the mourners.
“The army and policemen are vandalising our houses,” said one of the mujahideen whose video appeared on social media, later, and warned of reprisal. In the last few days, locals in south Kashmir have said that army and police were vandalising the houses of mujahideen. Later, amid slogan shouting, Waqas was laid to rest in his native village.
