National Assembly Passes Resolution to Honor Olympian Arshad Nadeem with Civil Award

Islamabad: In a session filled with commendations and international presence, the National Assembly unanimously passed a resolution today to confer the highest civil award on athlete Arshad Nadeem for his gold medal victory at the Paris Olympics.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the session at Parliament House was chaired by Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and featured dignitaries such as Imam Masjid Al-Nabawi, Dr. Salah bin Mohammad Al-Budair, and Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malki. The resolution, moved by Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar, not only honors Nadeem’s achievement but also calls for the promotion of sports within the country.

The session underscored the significance of Pakistan’s triumph at the Olympics after three decades, with leaders across the political spectrum praising Nadeem’s performance as an inspiration for the nation’s youth.
