National Commission for Government Reforms held its meeting on 9th February, 2012 at Prime Minister’s Secretariat, Islamabad

Islamabad: Chaudhary Abdul Ghafoor, MNA/Chairman NCGR presided over the meeting.

A comprehensive presentation was given by the Secretary of the Commission on Reforms agenda. Status of the implementation of each decision of its Steering Committee was discussed at length. The Commission approved the progress for presentation to the new Steering Committee as soon its revised composition is approved by the Prime Minister and notified.

Discussion was held on a proposal of enhancement of the quota reserved for merit in recruitments through C.S.S examination. Agenda item was deferred till consultation with the provinces for building consensus on the proposal.

The meeting was attended by the Members of Commission namely Mr. Khan Ahmed Goraya, Dr. Nelson Azeem MNA, Mrs. Parveen Qadir Agha and Khawaja Ijaz Sarwar. Hafiz M. Ziauddin, Sr. Joint Secretary represented Secretary Cabinet Division, ex-officio Member of NCGR. Mr. Shahid Siddiqui, D.G, M.S. Wing, Establishment Division attended on special invitation.

Mr. Tariq Rafique, Secretary of the Commission, Mr. Zafar Yab Ahmad, Director Reforms and Mr. Nazir Ahmad, Director Admn coordinated the meeting.
