National Conference Seeks Justice for Custodial Death in Pulwama

Srinagar, The National Conference (NC) in Jammu and Kashmir has demanded an impartial investigation into the custodial death of a youth in Pulwama district, seeking accountability and justice for the deceased.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the victim, identified as Imtiaz Ahmed Pala, a local mechanic, reportedly died from torture while detained at Litter Police Station. He was arrested by police last Tuesday and allegedly killed in custody shortly after. The NC has stressed the urgency of conducting a fair judicial inquiry to uncover the truth behind Pala’s death and to hold those responsible accountable.

This incident has raised serious concerns about police conduct and the treatment of detainees in the region.
