Naya Nazimabad, Pakistan International Airlines honour Anwar Ali and Sarfraz Ahmed

Karachi, August 09, 2015 (PPI-OT): Naya Nazimabad and PIA management organized a dinner reception for Anwar Ali and Sarfraz Ahmed for their recent outstanding performances for Pakistan. A cash award of Rs. 500,000 was awarded by the Group Chairman Arif Habib to both the star cricketers at Naya Nazimabad here Saturday.

Anwar produced a sterling show in the second Twenty20 International to lead Pakistan to a thrilling one-wicket win over Sri Lanka in Colombo while Sarfraz played a couple of outstanding knocks in the ICC World Cup. Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) chairman Nasser Jaffer was also present on the occasion. PIA had promoted Anwar Ali in officer grade after his tremendous performance against Sri Lanka.

Former legends of Pakistan cricket Iqbal Qasim, Ejaz Faqeh, Shoaib Mohammad, Managing Director (PIA) Shahnawaz Rehman, Chairman Summit Bank, C.E.O Naya Nazimabad Samad A. Habib, Director Sports Naya Naimabad Muhammad Iqbal, Azhar Iqbal, Azam Khan, Zahid Ahmed, Iqbal Muneer and Media Coordinator Mohammad Nizam, were also present on the reception.
