New Group of Pilgrims Embarks on Amarnath Yatra from Srinagar

Srinagar: A new batch of pilgrims commenced their spiritual journey to the Amarnath shrine early Sunday, departing from the Panthachowk base camp in Srinagar, heading towards the Baltal and Pahalgam yatra camps.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Amarnath Shrine Board, responsible for organizing the annual pilgrimage, manages two distinct routes for the yatra. Pilgrims can choose between the traditional Pahalgam track, known for its scenic vistas, and the shorter Baltal route. This year’s pilgrimage began on June 29 and is scheduled to conclude on August 19, continuing to draw devotees despite varying challenges.
