OGDC And AKUH Partner To Combat Hepatitis C In Free Health Camps

Islamabad: Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDC) and Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) have joined forces to tackle Hepatitis C through a series of free elimination camps. The program will offer complimentary screening, diagnostics, consultations, and medication at OGDC healthcare centers across Punjab and Sindh. This initiative falls under OGDC’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment to deliver free healthcare services to communities near its operations.

The camps will operate in Chakwal, Attock, Gujjar Khan (Rawalpindi), and Dera Ghazi Khan in Punjab, along with Hyderabad, Sanghar, and Ghotki in Sindh. The first phase runs from September 23 to December 11, 2025, with two follow-up phases planned. The first follow-up will occur between September 30 and December 18, 2025, and the second from March 31 to June 18, 2026.

This partnership demonstrates OGDC’s dedication to accessible and equitable healthcare. Earlier in 2025, the corporation donated three mobile eye operation units to Al-Shifa Trust Hospital and arranged 35 free eye surgery camps across the country, offering cataract procedures, consultations, and glasses to numerous individuals. These efforts align with OGDC’s support of Sustainable Development Goal 3, which focuses on good health and well-being.
