Karachi Interbank Offered Rate Softens Slightly

Islamabad: Short-term lending rates witnessed a minor dip on September 22, 2025, according to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan. The Karachi Interbank Offered Rate (KIBOR) for one-week loans decreased to 10.82% bid and 11.32% offer, down slightly from previous figures.

Two-week KIBOR saw a similar fractional decline, settling at 10.81% bid and 11.31% offer. One-month rates also eased to 10.79% bid and 11.29% offer.

While short-term rates experienced minor fluctuations, the three-month and six-month KIBOR remained unchanged at 10.81% bid and 11.06% offer. Nine-month KIBOR closed at 10.78% bid and 11.28% offer, while the one-year rate held steady at 10.79% bid and 11.29% offer. These figures suggest a relatively stable outlook for medium to long-term borrowing costs.
