On the directions of IG Punjab Shoaib Dastagir, surprise visits and inspections of Punjab highway patrol posts continue

Lahore, January 17, 2020 (PPI-OT): BY OUR CRIME REPORTER Lahore: Addl IGP Punjab Highway Patrol Captain (R) Zafar Iqbal Awan (Sitara Imtiaz), on the directive of Inspector General of Police Punjab Shoaib Dastagir, conducted surprise visits of various PHP posts to make the highways safe for the passengers and to evaluate the performance of Punjab High Patrol (PHP) Force. The Addl IGP visited Lahore’s Bagrian and Sheikhupura’s Kala Shah kaku PHP posts where he checked the force, building condition and records as well.

Additional IGP PHP also inspected patrolling vehicles and said that the Regional Officers should ensure timely steps in their supervision and implement new duty rosters to make the patrolling system more efficient. He further said that the execution of departmental affairs should be strictly followed by discipline and merit, uniform law enforcement and good moral practices to eradicate criminal elements from the society. Moreover, efforts should be made to facilitate the commuters. Moreover on the instructions of Addl IG PHP Capt. ® Zafar Iqbal Awan, Punjab highway patrol carried out timely action against criminals.

According to details, in the last week, PHP registered 378 cases against rash drivers. 53 cases were registered against fake and illegal number plates, 1 case were set up on violations of sound system act. Arrested 79 drivers on installing prohibited gas cylinders in vehicles. PHP rendered 1569 general helps to the road commuters and removed 234 temporary encroachments. PHP teams reunited 10 children namely Shair Zaman, Razi Ali Shah, Waqar Ali Shah, Muhammad Shaker, Mehboob Alam, Noor Muhammad, Muhammad Ramzan, Muhammad Yaroon Husnain and Ali Raza to their parents also during the last week.
