Lahore, July 11, 2023 (PPI-OT): On the instructions of Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, Punjab Highway Patrol is working to enforce the rule of law on the roads. 62720 challans were issued, fines of Rs 15.79 million were imposed on cities for violating various rules. DIG Athar Waheed further said that Punjab Highway Patrol closed 17515 motorcycles for not wearing helmets and driving under age.
Regional Officers and District Officers of Punjab Highway Patrol are doing general hold up on daily basis. On the instructions of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, all traffic rules including helmets are being implemented 100 percent and citizens are being informed about traffic rules on a daily basis.
