Karachi: Packages Limited has issued a notice to its shareholders regarding unclaimed shares and dividends that have remained uncollected for over three years. The notice was published in both English and Urdu in the Business Recorder and Nawa-i-Waqt newspapers, respectively, on Saturday, August 3, 2024.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company has taken steps to comply with Section 244 of the Companies Act, 2017, which mandates the handling of unclaimed financial assets. The details of the unclaimed shares and dividends are available on the company’s website under the “Investor-Relations/Shareholder-Information” section.
Notices were initially sent via courier and registered post to the last known addresses of the shareholders. Packages Limited is now making a final call to those shareholders who have not yet responded. They are required to submit their claims to the company’s Share Registrar, FAMCO Share Registration Services (Pvt.) Limited, within ninety days from the notice’s publication date.
Should there be no claims within this period, Packages Limited will proceed with the necessary actions as prescribed by the Companies Act to deal with these unclaimed assets.
