PAGE and PMYP Partner to Empower Women in Pakistan Through Skills Development and Digital Inclusion

Islamabad: The Pakistan Alliance for Girls Education (PAGE) and the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP) have signed a Letter of Intent to empower women and girls across Pakistan through skills development and digital inclusion. The agreement, signed at the Prime Minister’s Office in Islamabad, aims to address challenges faced by women in underserved regions by enhancing employability, entrepreneurship, and digital literacy.

According to Press Information Department, the signing ceremony was attended by key figures including Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Chairman of the Prime Minister Youth Programme; Syeda Amnah Batool, a Member of the National Assembly; and Fajer Rabia Pasha, Executive Director of PAGE. The partnership focuses on equipping female students with vital skills such as communication, CV writing, and interview preparation. It also emphasizes digital literacy through establishing digital hubs and teaching safe internet practices to boost employability.

The collaboration will engage public and private stakeholders to create employment opportunities for women entering the workforce. This effort reflects PAGE’s commitment to addressing gender inequities and PMYP’s dedication to youth development. Fajer Rabia Pasha highlighted the potential of the partnership to empower a generation of women, while Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan emphasized its importance for socio-economic development. The initiative will work with local and international organizations, including the Higher Education Commission and King’s Trust International, to ensure successful implementation and create sustainable opportunities for women and girls in Pakistan.
