Pakistan and India starts talks on economic cooperation – Alfalah Securities Limited

Karachi, September 20, 2012 (PPI-OT): The two-day 7th Round of Commerce Secretary-level talks between India and Pakistan will start Thursday i.e. September 20, 2012 to strengthen economic and commercial co-operation between the two countries.

According to Alfalah Securities Limited, the issues of phasing out of negative list, opening of Wagha land route and preferential arrangements under Safta would be discussed in the meeting along with signing of three agreements which are agreement of Cooperation and Mutual Assistance in Customs matters, Bilateral Cooperation Agreement between the Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority, Ministry of Science and Technology and The Bureau of Indian Standards, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and agreement on the Redressal of Trade Grievances. The agreements would strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries and is likely to improve exports growth to India.
