Pakistan Armed Forces Commemorate 66th Martyrdom Anniversary of Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed

Islamabad: The Pakistan Armed Forces, along with the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and the Services Chiefs, commemorated the 66th martyrdom anniversary of Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed, a distinguished Nishan-e-Haider recipient, today. The tribute highlighted his heroic actions and supreme sacrifice made in 1958 in the Lakshmipur sector of East Pakistan.

According to Inter Services Public Relations, Major Tufail Muhammad, the second recipient of the Nishan-e-Haider, was celebrated for his bravery and dedication during a critical confrontation with the enemy, where he sustained fatal injuries but successfully completed his mission. This annual remembrance serves as a stark reminder of the valor and sacrifice of those who have defended the nation’s sovereignty and integrity at the cost of their lives.
