Pakistan desires to further promote cooperation with Turkiye: PM

Islamabad, June 07, 2023 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says Pakistan is desirous of further promoting bilateral cooperation with Turkiye in diverse fields including trade, investment, higher education, tourism and infrastructure development. He was talking to Ambassador of Turkiye to Pakistan Mehmet Paçaci who called on him in Islamabad on Wednesday. The Prime Minister said that Turkiye and Pakistan have long-standing historical ties based on common faith and mutual respect and the people of both countries have great respect for each other.

Referring to his meetings with Turk investment companies during his recent visit to Turkiye, the Prime Minister said now is the best time for foreign investment in Pakistan and we welcome the deep interest of Turkish companies in this regard. On the occasion, the Prime Minister thanked President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Government of Turkiye for their hospitality during his recent visit to the country.

The President said Pakistan looks forward to the visit of the Turkish President to Pakistan for the seventh meeting of the High Level Strategic Cooperative Council.
