Pakistan Hosts Grand Reception for Azerbaijani President in Islamabad

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif hosted a formal reception in Islamabad this evening to honor the visiting Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, marking a significant moment in diplomatic relations between the two nations.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, President Aliyev was warmly received by Prime Minister Sharif at the Prime Minister House, where the national anthems of both countries were played, and a guard of honor was presented by a contingent of the Armed Forces of Pakistan. The Azerbaijani President’s aircraft was escorted by fighter jets of the Pakistan Air Force upon entering Pakistani airspace, emphasizing the special regard Pakistan holds for this visit. President Aliyev’s two-day visit comes at the invitation of Prime Minister Sharif, aimed at strengthening the ties between the two countries.
