Pakistan Marks 78th Independence Day with Diplomatic Fervor in New York

Islamabad: The Consulate General of Pakistan in New York, in conjunction with the Permanent Mission of Pakistan to the United Nations, commemorated Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day with a ceremony infused with traditional enthusiasm and national pride.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the event saw the participation of officers and staff from both the Consulate General and the Permanent Mission to the UN. Consul General Aamir Ahmed Atozai praised the vital role of the Pakistani diaspora in New York in enhancing Pakistan’s stature and safeguarding its interests on the global stage. He acknowledged their resilience and the significant contributions they make to their homeland.

Ambassador Munir Akram addressed the gathering, stressing the myriad challenges Pakistan faces internationally and the critical need for robust diplomatic engagement to protect and promote the nation’s interests effectively.
