Pakistan People’s Party has deep roots in all four provinces: ministers

Karachi, November 29, 2012 (PPI-OT): Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation Mukesh Kumar Chawla, Provincial Minister for Revenue Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar and Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh on Media Sharmila Faruqui have said that Pakistan Peoples Party is the largest political and democratic party of Pakistan and it has deep roots in all four provinces including Gilgit/ Baltistan and Azad Kashmir as well.

Those who think about to eradicate Pakistan Peoples Party can never be successful in their ulterior motives. This they said in their separate statements issued here on Thursday on the eve of foundation day of Pakistan Peoples Party. They said that Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto founded Pakistan People Party and created a history in political history of Pakistan.

Pakistan People Party was a party of martyrs who supported democracy with their blood. Provincial Ministers added ‘Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto with her own blood promoted democracy in Pakistan and due to her glorious struggle the way of the dictatorship in Pakistan has been closed in the country and her struggle for the promotion of democracy would be written in golden words.’

They said that the country was passing through a critical juncture. It was the need of the hour that all democratic forces should join hands and defeat all undemocratic forces. ‘Unity is the need of the hour.

The spirit of tolerance should be promoted to eradicate terrorism and extremism in the society. President Asif Ali Zardari having given his powers to Parliament has created a unique example. We should forget our all differences and should work for the promotion of the democracy.
