Pakistan People’s Party to play role of Positive Opposition: Sharjeel

Karachi, September 06, 2013 (PPI-OT): Central Deputy Secretary Information Pakistan People’s Party and Provincial Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that Pakistan People’s Party will play the role of positive opposition inside and outside the Parliament and will make no effort to de-rail the present Federal Government.

This he said in a statement issued here on Friday. He said that Pakistan People’s Party does not believe in the policy of criticism for nothing but it is a democratic and principled political party which believes in favouring or opposing on the issues only.

He added, ‘PPP firmly believes that the solution of the problems lies in continuation of the democracy in the country. President Asif Ali Zardari has taken important measures to strengthen the democratic institutions in the country.

He introduced the policy of political reconciliation which has provided real political awareness.’ Provincial Minister said that while giving his powers to the parliament President Asif Ali Zardari had made the road smooth for the democracy. At present Pakistan has been facing critical issues which need the unity of the nation to cope with the current scenario.

‘Transfer of the power peacefully and democratically is another example of political wisdom of President Asif Ali Zardari which will work like beacon light for the democratic governments to come in power.’ he concluded.
