Pakistan to Host Inaugural Digital FDI Forum, Reinforcing Commitment to Digital Prosperity

Islamabad, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Deemah Al Yahya, Secretary-General of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), in Riyadh, discussing strategies to enhance digital inclusion and financial empowerment, particularly for women and youth.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting highlighted Pakistan’s firm commitment to the DCO’s goals of bridging the digital divide and fostering an inclusive digital economy. Foreign Minister Dar emphasized Pakistan’s role in promoting digital technologies as a means to drive socio-economic development and ensure broad-based opportunities in the digital sphere.

The discussions also led to the announcement that Pakistan will host the inaugural DCO-WEF Digital Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Forum later this year, a significant event that underscores the country’s pivotal role within the organization and its dedication to advancing global digital cooperation.
