Islamabad, Pakistan has affirmed its ongoing support for the Kashmiri people, emphasizing its commitment to backing their cause through moral, political, and diplomatic channels, aimed at achieving a peaceful resolution to the Kashmir dispute based on United Nations Security Council Resolutions.
According to Kashmir Media Service, this announcement was made by Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, spokesperson for Pakistan’s Foreign Office, amid reports that Indian authorities intend to auction blocks of Lithium reserves discovered in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The spokesperson expressed worries that the contracts for mining these significant reserves might be given to external corporations, thus denying the Kashmiri populace their rightful claim to the region’s resources. Baloch criticized the Indian government’s actions as both illegal and exploitative, highlighting the right of the Kashmiri people to the natural wealth of their land.
The focus on Lithium, a valuable resource in today’s technology-driven economy, underscores the strategic importance of the Kashmir region’s natural assets.
