Pakistani Zaireen intending to visit Ajmer Sharif awaiting visas: MORA

Pakistani Zaireen, intending to visit Ajmer Sharif, India, are still awaiting visas.

According to the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Zaireen were scheduled to depart for Ajmer Sharif on Saturday, but the Indian High Commission has not yet provided information about the visas.

The spokesperson also advised the Zaireen not to travel to Lahore until further notice.

It is pertinent to mention that religious tourist delegations from both countries travel under the 1974 agreement.

Every year, hundreds of Hindu and Sikh pilgrims visit their religious places in Pakistan under this agreement.
