Pakistan’s Ambassador presents credentials to President Hamid Karzai

Islamabad, March 25, 2014 (PPI-OT): Pakistan’s new Ambassador to Afghanistan, Syed Abrar Hussain, presented credentials to President Hamid Karzai at a ceremony in Kabul today. After presenting the letter of credence, the Ambassador held a brief meeting with the President and conveyed the sincere desire of the leadership of Pakistan to work for peace and stability in Afghanistan. The President assured the new Ambassador of his support for efforts to strengthen bilateral relations.

Earlier, the Ambassador called on the Afghan Foreign Minister, Zarar Ahmed Moqbel Osmani, and exchanged views on matters of bilateral interest. Both sides emphasized the need for intensifying bilateral cooperation in divergent fields for the betterment of the people of two neighbouring countries. It is to be mentioned here that Syed Abrar Hussain had previously served as Pakistan’s Ambassador to Kuwait and Nepal.
