KARACHI: President of the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), Muhammad Ikram Rajput, asserted that under the leadership of Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir, the Pakistan Armed Forces have significantly advanced the nation’s defense capabilities. He highlighted the military’s effective strategy and robust border defense, which have contributed to enhancing Pakistan’s global standing.
According to Rajput, major global powers now recognize Pakistan’s strategic importance, increasingly seeking the country’s input in international decision-making. His remarks came during a meeting with Saleem Memon, President of the Hyderabad Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industries, who visited the KATI office to congratulate Rajput on his recent appointment.
The discussions between Rajput and Memon also covered national security, economic challenges, and the business community’s role in fostering national stability and growth.
Rajput emphasized the proficiency and bravery of the Pakistan Army in countering cross-border threats, praising the soldiers and officers as national heroes whose sacrifices have fortified Pakistan’s defense. “The entire nation remains indebted to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the security of our motherland,” he stated.
He further commended Field Marshal Munir’s leadership for revitalizing defense institutions and strengthening Pakistan’s military and diplomatic stature. Rajput remarked that Munir’s leadership has fostered national confidence, unity, and stability.
During the meeting, Memon congratulated Rajput on his KATI presidency, describing his election as a positive development for industry and trade. Memon affirmed the business community’s support for the armed forces, acknowledging the military’s achievements in combating terrorism.
