Paris Celebrates Pakistan’s Independence Day with Cultural Displays and Diplomatic Commitments

Paris: Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad led Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day celebrations at the Pakistani Embassy in Paris, where he emphasized unity, national progress, and international solidarity.

According to Press Information Department, the ceremony featured the hoisting of the national flag, accompanied by the national anthem and readings of messages from Pakistan’s President, Prime Minister, and Foreign Minister. Ambassador Ahmad reflected on the historical significance of August 14, recalling the sacrifices of Pakistan’s founding fathers and highlighting the accomplishments and challenges of the nation. He stressed the importance of focusing on the welfare of the masses and cited the recent Olympic gold medal by Arshad Nadeem as a source of national pride.

The Ambassador also reiterated Pakistan’s support for the Kashmiri and Palestinian peoples’ struggles for self-determination and emphasized the strong cooperative ties between Pakistan and France. The event, attended by members of the Pakistani diaspora and French dignitaries, also included cultural performances by children, traditional Pakistani music, and cuisine, celebrating the vibrant heritage and ongoing contributions of Pakistanis worldwide.
