Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued alert of possible thunderstorms, heavy rain with gusty winds and hailstorms in the province from today.
In a statement, Director General PDMA Punjab Irfan Ali Kathia has directed all deputy commissioners to stay alert to deal with the emergency situation.
He appealed to citizens to take precautionary measures and stay away from electricity poles and dangling wires.
PDMA spokesperson said that citizens can call helpline 1129 for any assistance.
