PEC deploys monitoring teams for code of conduct compliance

Election Commission Punjab has appointed the monitoring teams and district monitoring officers in all the districts of the province to ensure the implementation of the code of conduct issued by ECP.

In this regard the District Monitoring Officers across Punjab issued notices to the candidates for wall chalking and displaying oversized posters during election campaigns.

So far 400 complaints of violation of code of conduct in Punjab province have been resolved in accordance with the law by taking immediate action.

Similarly, Provincial Election Commissioner Punjab Ijaz Anwar Chohan issued important instructions to all district monitoring officers and asked them to strictly implement the code of conduct.

Meanwhile, a control room has been established to register complaints in the Office of the Provincial Election Commissioner of Punjab.
