Petroleum Prices Adjusted in Islamabad, Reflecting International Market Trends

Islamabad: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced new consumer prices for petroleum products, reflecting recent changes in the international market. Starting September 1, 2024, prices for Motor Spirit (MS) and High Speed Diesel (HSD) will be adjusted.

According to Press Information Department, the revised prices for the upcoming fortnight are based on the latest international market trends. The price for Motor Spirit, commonly known as petrol, will decrease from Rs. 260.96 per liter to Rs. 259.10 per liter, marking a reduction of Rs. 1.86. Similarly, the price for High Speed Diesel will be reduced from Rs. 266.07 per liter to Rs. 262.75 per liter, a decrease of Rs. 3.32.

These adjustments are part of OGRA’s routine assessments, which are conducted to align domestic fuel prices with those of the international market, ensuring fair pricing for consumers while maintaining market stability.
