PM commends PTA for ensuring common man’s accessibility to mobile, internet services

Chairman Pakistan Telecommunication Authority Major General retired Hafeez-ur-Rehman called on Caretaker Prime Minister in Islamabad today.

The Chairman presented annual report of PTA for 2023 to the Prime Minister.

He informed the Prime Minister that PTA’s income reached to 850 billion rupees with an increase of 17 percent as compared to the previous year. He added said that the accessibility to mobile services has reached to 90 percent throughout the country.

Presenting statistics of mobile and internet users in 2023, the Chairman said that the number of mobile users was over 190 million, whereas the figure of high speed broadband consumers was 130 million.

The Prime Minister commended Chairman PTA and his team for ensuring common man’s accessibility to mobile and internet services in Pakistan.
