Senior journalist and President Pakistan Federal Union of Journalist (Workers) Pervez Shaukat died in Islamabad today.
Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the death of senior journalist Pervez Shaukat.
In a statement, he said Pervez Shaukat was a sound voice of the journalist community and his services for journalism and welfare of journalists will always be remembered.
The Minister prayed for the departed soul and also expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
Secretary Information and Broadcasting Shahera Shahid also expressed deep sorrow and grief over the death of Pervez Shaukat.
In her condolence statement, she said Pervez Shaukat was a talented and hardworking journalist who devoted his entire life for the rights of journalist community.
