Police Officer Injured in Mob Attack During Warrant Execution in Shopian

Shopian, In Shopian district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a police operation turned violent when a team attempting to execute a court warrant was assaulted by a group of locals. The incident highlights the escalating tensions between the residents and the security forces in the region.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the confrontation occurred at the residence of Manzoor Ahmed in Khurmpora village, where the police team intended to arrest an offender under a court warrant. The situation escalated when community members intervened, attacking the officers and injuring one policeman, identified as Ajaz Ahmed. Following the attack, he was initially taken to the district hospital in Shopian and subsequently transferred to Soura hospital for advanced treatment. A case has been filed against several individuals involved in the assault on the police team.

This episode underscores the ongoing strife and public dissatisfaction with the frequent raids and security operations conducted by Indian forces in the area.
