PPI Original Text (PPI-OT) – Daily Cargo Handling Report

Karachi, May 09, 2012 (PPI-OT): Two tanker carriers are due to reach at the outer anchorage of Karachi Port on Thursday. Tanker BUM CHIN for discharging 2,000 tonnes of chemical and tanker OZAY 5 for discharging for loading 1,800 tonnes of ethanol are arriving at the port on Thursday, the 10th May 2012.

During the last 24 hours, 02 berthing and 03 sailing of vessels have taken place from Karachi Port. Tanker carrier LODESTAR GENSIS and container vessel UASC AJMAN have acquired safe berthing at the port whereas MU DAN SONT and tanker carriers M.T.KARACHI and HIGH FORCE have been sailed.

A total tonnage of 149,811 comprising 30,569 tonnes of export cargo and 119,242 tonnes of import cargo were handled by the port during the last 24 hours.
